Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells Technologies

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, in the brainstorming meeting of thoughts and innovation association (non-resident Iranians), which was attended by Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of the council for stem cells science and technologies, Seyed Mahmoud Masiha Hashemi, manager of the association, and Kaveh Baghaei, one of the members of the association, non-resident Iranian scientists presented their achievements and solutions for cooperation and association between universities and research centers of the country.

The only specialized software for gathering and networking individuals, companies and active researchers in the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine was unveiled in the second national festival and international congress of stem cells and regenerative medicine.

According to the executive board resolution of the second national prize, six ideas were selected as the top ideas by receiving the highest scores. These ideas were then defended at the second evaluation stage. At this phase, idea owners had five minutes to explain about different aspects of their project, introducing its main features.

In a resounding vote of confidence for a first-of-its-kind cancer treatment, a U.S. Food and Drug Administration advisory committee on Wednesday unanimously recommended approval of Novartis Pharmaceutical’s T-cell therapy for acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL).

The vice president of Iranian genetic association stated: the stem cells festival will create the opportunity for creating an atmosphere of dialogue among professionals.

The second festival of stem cells and regenerative medicine is a great opportunity for identification of Iranian scientists on a global scale and scientific exchange with foreign researchers.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of the council for stem cells science and technologies, stated on the opening ceremony of the event: the first university of medical sciences has been established in Iran, and I am honored to take a step to follow the path of our old scholars, including ibn Zakariya al-Razi and Ibn Sīnā.

more than 600 abstracts were delivered to the secretariat of the event, among which 100 articles were by the invited presenters. Among the mentioned 100 articles, 26 were related to foreign lecturers, whereas 32 and 10 papers were provided by non-resident and resident Iranians, respectively. In total, 360 posters were approved

: the festival of stem cells has aimed to determine a roadmap for students and guide them toward innovation and creativity by cooperation between academics and researchers of various science fields, so that Iran would be able to obtain the best scientific results in the area of stem cells through relying on innovations of this section.

The third day of educational specialized workshops of the second national festival and international congress of stem cells and regenerative medicine was warmly welcomed by the activists of the field.
