Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells Technologies

According to council public relations and international affairs, the second national festival and international congress on stem cell and regenerative medicine will be held on 13-15 July 2017 in I.R.Iran international conference center ( Saran conference hall ).

According to council public relations and international affairs, Dr. Hamidieh Visits Comprehensive Medical Center for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medinice in Shiraz on 16 February 2017.

According to the public relations and international affairs of the council for development of stem cell sciences and technologies, this council established first national networks for animals modeling and in-vivo research in Iran to make a new practical development in fields of Medicine and Veterinary.

The Therapeutic Use of Stem Cells in Iran

Stem cell therapy has turned out to be a ray of hope for most patients who are trying to find a cure for incurable diseases. Researchers and experts believe India has been at the top in the development of stem cell treatment followed by several other countries like China and Japan. However, due to lack of awareness, most people dont think of stem cell therapy as an option for treating most of the incurable diseases.

According to the public relations and information center of the vice presidency for science and technology affairs, at 82nd stem cell council’s board of directors session, Proceedings and following up of holding the second national festival and international congress of stem cell and regenerative medicine have been under significant discussion.

According to the public relations and information center of the vice presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, vice president for science and technology at the opening of first institute of stem cells and regenerative medicine said: Inauguration of cell therapy center in Tabriz university of medical sciences is very auspicious and cell therapy and regenerative medicine can develop more than before. Hopefully opening of this center can improve the field of stem cell and regenerative medicineand university will become an entrepreneur with new technologies and products.

According to the public relations and information center of the vice presidency for science and technology affairs, Dr. Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary for development of stem cell sciences and technologies mentioned that the word “ Olympiad ” has many concepts. One of the most important purpose of holding Olympiad is evaluation of examinees perspective and Creativity. In order to fix the Olympiad’s holding system problems we established a new interdisciplinary Olympiad as Olympiad of stem cell and regenerative medicine, so the students without any limitation can participate in it.

[In the past 14 years, Iran has] made great strides in stem cell research. And now that Iran is losing its pariah-state status after sanctions were lifted, there are opportunities for collaborations with non-Iranian scientists….
