Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells Technologies

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of council for Stem cell sciences and technologies, stated: the third Olympiad on stem cells and regenerative medicine is annually held since 2015 with the financial and spiritual support of council for Stem cell sciences and technologies and the national center for exceptional talents and young researchers as the Organizers of the event.

Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of council for stem cells science and technologies, expressed the warm welcome of the festival at the closing ceremony of the event, stating: given the warm welcome by the participants, registration for the event ended two weeks before festival beginning due to the great number of referrals. In total, three thousand individuals participated in the second round of this festival.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, in line with initiation of cooperation between non-resident Iranian experts and science and technology centers of the country and defining the method of this cooperation and knowledge-based businesses, council for stem cells science and technologies held a brainstorming meeting in the presence of non-resident scientists and researchers at Pardis technology park. After the meeting, the technological achievements in the field of stem cells were visited by non-resident Iranian experts.

The closing ceremony of the second “Stem-up” or stem cells startup, which was held for three days at technology park of University of Tehran, was held in the presence of Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of Council for stem cells science and technologies, instructors, judges and managers of various sections of the event and participating teams

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the first specialized techmart of regenerative medicine was held with the support of council for stem cells science and technologies in order to stimulate the activities of researchers in companies and universities and to attract investors to enter the market.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, in the brainstorming meeting of thoughts and innovation association (non-resident Iranians), which was attended by Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of the council for stem cells science and technologies, Seyed Mahmoud Masiha Hashemi, manager of the association, and Kaveh Baghaei, one of the members of the association, non-resident Iranian scientists presented their achievements and solutions for cooperation and association between universities and research centers of the country.

According to the executive board resolution of the second national prize, six ideas were selected as the top ideas by receiving the highest scores. These ideas were then defended at the second evaluation stage. At this phase, idea owners had five minutes to explain about different aspects of their project, introducing its main features.

The vice president of Iranian genetic association stated: the stem cells festival will create the opportunity for creating an atmosphere of dialogue among professionals.

The second festival of stem cells and regenerative medicine is a great opportunity for identification of Iranian scientists on a global scale and scientific exchange with foreign researchers.
