Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells Technologies

The council for stem cells sciences and technologies has many plans to develop activities in this area. Supporting young researchers and doctoral dissertations is one of the programs that was pursued last year, and this year the headquarters is focusing on this issue in order to conduct targeted research and see their greater impact.

Meanwhile, stem cells and regenerative medicine is one of the fields that has a great capacity for the production of vaccines and stem cell-based products to fight the disease.

Once again, the researchers of the country have gathered together. This time for interaction and improving the level of an effective scientific branch in cancer treatment.

The third “menstrual blood stem cell bank” of the world is established in Iran to accelerate the pace of treatment of women"s infertility, early menopause treatment, fertility preservation, reproductive medicine and some other diseases.

The number of knowledge-based companies in the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine increased to 100 in 2019. This number of companies have generated about one thousand jobs.

The secretary of the council for stem cells sciences and technologies regarded research on provision of cellular and regenerative medicine services a necessity in line with global advancements.

While just a few number of knowledge-based companies were active in the field of stem cells in the past few years, there are now more than a hundred of technological companies in this field.

The challenges of student stem cells and regenerative medicine research centers of Alborz, Kerman, and Fars provinces were held in the presence of managers of education and research centers of provinces to develop the knowledge of stem cells in students and eliminate their problems.

The call for supporting PhD dissertations in the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine is published to accelerate the pace of student activities in this area.

“Stem cells, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine in cardiovascular system” is the title of a symposium held to provide the foundation for learning about and developing the updated activities of this field.
