The second student’s Olympiad of stem cell and regenerative medicine was held
According to the public relations and information center of the vice presidency for science and technology affairs, Dr. Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary for development of stem cell sciences and technologies mentioned that the word “ Olympiad ” has many concepts. One of the most important purpose of holding Olympiad is evaluation of examinees perspective and Creativity. In order to fix the Olympiad’s holding system problems we established a new interdisciplinary Olympiad as Olympiad of stem cell and regenerative medicine, so the students without any limitation can participate in it.

In order to fix the Olympiad’s holding system problems we established a newinterdisciplinary Olympiad as Olympiad of stem cell and regenerative medicine, so the students without any limitation can participate in it.
Hamidieh added, it’s the second time which this Olympiad have been held and more than 3000 students in any educational fields participated in it. He also told that many Olympiads such as Physics, Biology, Mathematics is holding along the world but how about the future? We need to establish new interdisciplinary Olympiads.
Another purpose of holding Olympiads is to educate researchers. Convergent sciences like Nanotechnology, biotechnology and IT is growing in Iran, so we need to change the system of holding Olympiads into interdisciplinary method. Hamidieh mentioned that the questions which asked in this Olympiad were multidisciplinary. Due to developing in stem cell science and regenerative medicine, this Olympiad can be held internationally in future.
