Start using LRKK2 and GBA iCell® DopaNeurons in your Parkinson’s research and drug screening. FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics have collaborated with The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) to create iPSC-derived dopaminergic neurons from donors with Parkinson's disease (PD) harboring either the LRKK2 (G2019S) or GBA (N370S) mutation*, two genetic polymorphisms associated with Parkinson’s disease.
New Donor-derived PD Cell Lines:
- iCell DopaNeurons PD LRRK2 G2019S, 11299
- bsp; iCell DopaNeurons PD GBA N370S, 11344
Engineered PD Cell Lines:
- nbsp; iCell DopaNeurons PD SNCA A53T HZ, 01279
iCell DopaNeurons from MJFF iPSC lines:
- Display altered dopamine metabolism, elevated alpha-synuclein protein accumulation, and increased neuronal degeneration compared to control iCell DopaNeurons.
- Provide a consistent source of donor-derived human dopaminergic neurons for investigating mechanisms of LRRK2 (G2019S) and GBA (N370S) in Parkinson’s disease.
- Enable a variety of in vitro applications to investigate dopaminergic neuronal degeneration.
- Facilitate high-throughput screening for Parkinson’s disease therapeutics.
*Cell lines were derived from source material provided by the Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI).
