Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells Technologies

Ali Vatani, deputy of technology development of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, visited the booths of knowledge-based companies and student section of the festival. He stated about the festival: various councils are active in the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, including council for stem cells science and technologies, which has received the highest attention and investment since its establishment.

In the second national festival of stem cells and regenerative medicine, which was held by the mentioned council, we witnessed a great quantitative and qualitative growth in knowledge-based companies and their technologies. This can be seen in presenting high-quality products to the market by new companies that are in the form of technological cores.

He continued: new companies contain research units and equipment development section, and scientific and international cooperation is observed in all of them. In addition, experience exchange is an important issue among these companies, and ministry of health, treatment and medical education helps in this regard by issuing the necessary permissions. Development of stem cells and regenerative medicine is an interdisciplinary field between the ministry of science and research, ministry of health and the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, so that the necessary foundations for development of this technology are laid through these collaborations.

 The second national festival and international congress of stem cells and regenerative medicine was held (July 13^th-15^th, 2017) at Iran international conference center with the support of council for stem cells science and technologies.
