Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells Technologies

According to Stem Cell Council Public Relations and International Affairs, secretary for the coordinating board of stem cell and regenerative Olympiad held a meeting with presence of Saee Dehghan, deputy for young scholars and Golshan at the national center for cultivation of elite talents.

At the beginning of the meeting Dr. Keyhanvar asked for introduction of experienced professors of physics, chemistry and mathematics for cooperating in designing of examination questions and said,"Stem cell and regenerative Olympiad will challenge creativity and insight of the students and only at the first level we will have theory questions. He added, "Registration process will be done by SANAD".

Next Golshan emphasized the expenses for holding Olympiad and said,"members of the scientific committee of the Olympiad, examination locations and type of awards should soon be selected."

Saee Dehghan after announcing his support and cooperation for holding Olympiad emphasized the importance of writing regulations and said,"for international holding of this Olympiad solutions must be provided to overcome problems in this area".

Secretary of the coordinating board of Olympiad said,"70 percent share of future regenerative medicine belongs to stem cells. He also mentioned the importance of stem cells and investments of big companies around the world in this field and said,"one of the stem cell council priorities is promotion of this field by holding Olympiad".

Next, deputy for young scholars said, "given that second phase of examination will have descriptive questions, for this stage volunteers will challenge each other in a test trial and only those who reach quorum will be candidate for checking their descriptive booklets."

Golshan in line with Saee Dehghan expressions, said," One of the professors should study the descriptive questions answers first and after that scoring takes place."

He also mentioned four hour timing for phase two of the examination and said, "Examination care and possible side costs must be evaluated".

At the end Dr.Keyhanvar told about the circular, "right after the meeting with Dr. Sattari, circular of the Olympiad will be given to deputy for young scholars for documentation."
