High potential of Alborz province for setting up cell city
According to council public relations and international affairs, Dr. Hamidieh in his meeting with Kharazmi University officials said,"Alborz province has great potential for changing into a cell city because of its strategic location with presence of more than 70 percent of big pharmaceutical companies of the country in the vicinity."
Next he added,"Alborz province is at close vicinity to Imam Khomeini airport, its close to the biggest pharmaceutical companies and benefits from long educational history, therefore these items make great potential for this province for setting up science and technology cell City Park in the biotechnology field."
Mashhadi Zadeh head of the technology and Intellectual Property committee of the Kharazmi University stated, "The policy of the university is focused on development toward third generation universities since Dr. Sobhan Allahi is on duty. Growth center was also opened last year and we are now trying to attract active companies and going toward specialized technology park."
National View of the vice-presidency for science and technology
Dr. Hamidieh mentioned developments which have been done last year in the council for development of stem cell sciences and technologies including forming of 28 specialized working-groups and the cooperation between basic and clinical individuals which has been lead to the entrance of stem cell productions into the market and said, "Vice-presidency for science and technology has a national view and do not work like universities. We could achieve positive results by forming Consortiums among various centers."
At the end dr hamidieh said," By taking advantage of the potential and dedicating a professional and coherent team and by considering students, physicians, scholars and engineers as targets, you can shape a complete cycle from science and production to consumption."
