Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells Technologies

Iran is playing the leading role in the region in the fields of fintech, ICT, stem cell, aerospace, and is unrivaled in artificial intelligence, Sourena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology, told the Tehran Times in an exclusive interview on Saturday.

Reza Asadifard, the manager of the strategic technologies laboratory network, pointed out an increase in the quality of lab services of the country, emphasizing the necessity of providing these services to other countries.

The first phase of comprehensive center for stem cells and regenerative medicine, Tehran University of Medical Sciences was opened in the presence of Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs.

The prerequisite for the development of Iran"s export of medicines and medical equipment is the registration of medical items in export target markets. Iran is one of the countries with good medical capabilities in the field of medicine and medical equipment and can export these products to other countries.

The vice president for science and technology affairs stated: the orientation of Royan Research center to earn revenues from knowledge-based companies is a valuable act, which has led to the decrease of Royan’s dependency on the government.

The advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs stated: as the head of a business delegation encompassing the managers of Iranian knowledge-based companies, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, will travel to Turkey.

Along with the day of student, Sattari talked with the activists of several knowledge-based companies. In the second part of the visit, he visited technological companies working in fields such as artificial intelligence, medical equipment, stem cells and regenerative medicine.

One of the special facilities provided to the members of knowledge-based companies is exemption of military services with the cooperation of related units. With the follow-up of the Vice-Presidency, “conscription” and “project” of service replacement are two solutions provided for these individuals.

This January, Turkey will host the vice president for science and technology affairs of Iran and a business delegation. A delegation of knowledge-based companies that are active in different scientific and technological fields will travel to Turkey to introduce their capabilities.

The vice president for science and technology affairs emphasized that combatting the smuggling of goods and currencies requires domestic methods, stating: the software, systems and establishments for combatting the smuggling of goods and currencies must be domestic in the country and based on domestic belongings, such as the abilities of knowledge-based companies and startups.
