The relationship between knowledge-based companies and industries will be facilitated by the support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, answered the questions of journalists during his travel to Qazvin.
The president of the national elites foundation mentioned that the activities of knowledge-based companies in various fields, especially food and drugs areas, expressing: the problematic areas of industries are very important. Therefore, “matching supply and demand” events are held every week in Iran national science fund to facilitate the relationship between industries and companies. This action is important in industries such as metal, where we deal with sanctions.
The Sanctions Have Led to the Formation of a Market for Knowledge-based Companies
Regarding the building of a market for knowledge-based companies, Sattari marked: due to the sanctions, a proper market has been formed for technological companies and they are satisfied with the situation, however, this is not enough. In this regard, joint committees have been established by the Vice-Presidency and different ministries to follow up the issue. A part of the market is related to the government while another part is managed by the people.
The vice president for science and technology affairs pointed out the issuance of an enactment for industrial units, asserting: yesterday, I delivered a decree to the industrial units that units could allocate up to 50 billion tomans to tender for the first prototypes of companies. By doing so, companies are entering the prototype production phase.
The president of the national elites foundation mentioned that venture capital’s activities must be developed in the country to expand startup activities. In this regard, he continued: last year, knowledge-based companies received 12 thousand billion tomans of facilities from banks, which is doubled in the current year. This issue shows the significant effect of companies on the formation of knowledge-based economy.
In terms of level of export of these firms, Sattari affirmed: the purpose of knowledge-based companies is export of one billion dollars. In addition, direct jobs have been created for 300,000 people. In the current year, support of knowledge-based companies has been developed and all ministries seek to develop these companies.
