Emphasizing the necessity of sympathy and coordination of all society members in support of creative and innovative youth, the vice president for science and technology affairs announced the increasing growth of brining currency to the country by knowledge-based companies.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, talked with academic activists and technologists of knowledge-based companies in the council meeting of knowledge-based economy development during the second part of his travel to East Azerbaijan Province.

Emphasizing that the actual meaning of development is realized by recognizing the importance of human resources and investment of the private sector on creativity and innovation of the youth, Sattari stated: heads of universities, provincial authorities, investors, and other authorities have realized that coordination and reliance on remarkable capacities of the province can lead to a bright future.

Sattari mentioned that the development of companies requires an environment and is not limited to financial issues. In this regard, he added: the necessary environment must be prepared to create the market for these companies. We need to use the rooted innovation culture of East Azerbaijan province to flourish knowledge-based economy.

The vice president for science and technology affairs emphasized the support of development of accelerators and companies based in science and technology park and growth center in the form of providing facilities through the research and technology fund.

He also talked about the importance of venture capitals, research and innovation funds along with innovation factories, growth centers, and accelerators of the private sector to form an extended chain of innovation ecosystem, adding: we are prepared to establish the innovation factory of the province and we are ready to invest with the participation of the private sector.

The representative of the Supreme Leader regarded martyr Mansour Sattari a successful example of focus on the position of innovation and creativity of human resources, continuing: martyr Sattari is one of the valuable and successful examples in the history of the country, who knew the importance of innovation and worked efficiently in this field.

In this meeting, the vice president for science and technology affairs mentioned that startups are the largest hosts of non-resident experts and graduated youth and lay the foundation for their stay in the country.

Sattari considered East Azerbaijan province a capable and talented province to be turned into the knowledge-based capital.

He also regarded the emergence of innovation and growth centers in universities the reflection of the same change, marking: entrepreneurship of the youth has its own customs and requires observing specific necessities that must be provided by universities.

In another part of this trip, Sattari visited Tabriz University of Islamic Arts and visited the fourth international festival and exhibition of creativity and innovation. This exhibition is held on topic of Islamic arts and handcrafts and is attended by artists of 30 countries of the Islamic world.

During the visit, Sattari ties a knot of the “Love” pictorial carpet.

The health innovation center and accelerator of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences was inaugurated and exploited in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs.

Sattari also inaugurated the innovation center building of Tabriz University.
