According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Seyed Ali Omrani, the head of the administrative working group of the Mustafa Prize, explained about the third round of the event in a press conference: the winners of this round of the Mustafa Prize will be awarded on November 11th, 2019. Currently, the candidates of the event are at the level of international evaluation. In total, 300 works in four groups have been nominated by the scientific communities of the Islamic world.
He added: in this round, awards are considered in areas of economy, banking, and mathematic. In addition, scientists will be selected in four areas of general, biotechnology, nanotechnology, and information technology.
According to Omrani, the members of the event (381 members from 23 countries) have donated an amount of money to the Mustafa Prize Investment and Endowment Fund (MPIEF). Currently, the whole asset of the MPIEF is 38 billion and 600 million tomans, that has supplied the prizes of the last two rounds. However, the prizes of this round have been supplied as well.
Head of the administrative working group of the mustafa prize also asserted: another measure taken in this area is holding the third round of ISA, which is performed aiming at presenting the achievements of scientists of the Islamic world to industries along with holding the STEP meeting. The third round was attended by 14 companies from Pakistan, Iran, and Egypt, which showcased their accomplishments. The result of this meeting was signing 10 cooperation contracts.
Pointing out the establishment of Mustafa art museum in Pardis Technology Park, he asserted: in this museum, which is based in Pardis technology park, it is attempted to present technology topics in the language of art. This phenomenon has been associated with the granting of art works from Shiraz, Isfahan and other cities. These art works have gone beyond Iran’s borders, and we have witnessed the presence of art works from India in this museum.
