Dr Amir Ali Hamidieh told about Establishment of comprehensive centers of stem cell and regenerative medicine in 3 pivots across the country and said, “we are looking for decentralization in the field of stem cell and regenerative medicine.”
According to council public relations and international affairs Dr Amir Ali Hamidieh in knowledge-based companies working group mentioned about focus of research facilities in the field of stem cell and regenerative medicine in Tehran during last few years and said, “for this reason not all researchers around the country had access to special facilities for them researches. Due to the issue, centers called “comprehensive stem cell and regenerative medicine” on 3 centers of north, center and south are going to be operational with support from vice-presidency for science and technology in order to decentralize facilities. Accelerate the legislative process in the area of stem cell and regenerative medicine research is one of the basic needs of the country.
The presence of knowledge-based companies in the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine should be highlighted
Dr. Hamidieh told about the plans to attract more and more prominent knowledge-based companies in the field of stem cells and said regenerative medicine and stated, “this is a dream and our co-workers at vice-presidency for science and technology are working hard to change some old laws in this field by consultations with supreme council of cultural revolution and increase the interest of our researchers and scientists I this field.
Researches must be done to produce and deliver products
Dr. Alireza Shoae Hassani scientific advisor to the secretary of council reported a detailed presentation on the market of stem cell and regenerative medicine and expressed,” we as part of academic community must focus our efforts to produce and deliver products. We will have great leap forward if we acquire only 2 percent of the global market of stem cell and regenerative medicine and this is not out of reach.
