Top 2018 Iranian Scientists, Students and Activists in the field of Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Appreciated
Annually and during “The National Festival And International Congress on Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine”, in order to promote stem cell sciences and technologies among students and researchers and to drive research into applied and technological production,
Annually and during “The National Festival And International Congress on Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine”, in order to promote stem cell sciences and technologies among students and researchers and to drive research into applied and technological production, with a focus on young generation, winners of the "National Award for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine", top students in the “High School Student Olympiad on Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine” and “Undergraduate Student Olympiad on Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering” and winners of “Top Undergraduate Student Associations on Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Contest” are announced.
At the closing ceremony of the 3rd National Festival and International Congress on Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine was held in 1st December 2018, with the presence of Dr. Eshagh Jahangiri, First Vice President of Iran, Dr. Sorena Sattari, Vice President of Science And Technology, Dr. Amir Ali Hamidieh, General Secretary of Council for Stem Cell Sciences and Technologies, and Dr. Reza Malekzadeh, Deputy for Research and Technology of Ministry of Health:
- The winners of the National Award on Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine were announced as follow: Dr. Seyed Mostafa Monzavi (winner of the best idea for the title of “Prevention of Leukemic Cells Infiltration into Central Nervous System by anti-SPARC antibody Immunotherapy”), Dr. Sahar Shojaee (winner of the best invention for a gene editing machine called “INGENEES”), Dr. Farzaneh Fathi (winner of the best article for a paper entitled “Early-stage detection of VE-cadherin during endothelial differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cells using SPR biosensor”) and Dr. Sara Tale-Ahmadi (winner of the best thesis for the thesis entitled “Investigating the proteome of mouse iPS cells”).
- In addition, Mohammad Amin Rezaie for achieving the first place in High School Student Olympiad on Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine, and Fatemeh Zarein and Mohammad Homayounfar for achieving the top ranks in the Undergraduate Student Olympiad on Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering were appreciated.
- Sommayeh Niknazar, Dr. Ali Ghamari, Dr. Hamid Farajifard, Mohammad Amin Mahmanzar, Maryam Abbas Alipour and Dr. Hoda Madani were also praised as the winners of the best poster presentation in the congress.
- Alzahra University, Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman and Shahed University achieved the title of top undergraduate student associations on stem cell and regenerative medicine.
- Celltech Pharmed was announced as the best company of the festival.
