Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells Technologies

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of the council for stem cells science and technology development stated on the opening ceremony of the second specialized startup on stem cells and regenerative medicine: while our abilities in the area of stem cells and regenerative medicine are acceptable, we need to pave the way for the youth to turn knowledge into practice.

Hamidieh explained: in our country, confidence in young society members is falsely low and age of Iranian researchers is significantly high. However, age of researchers in other parts of the world is below 25 years. Therefore, age can be an important factor for someone who wants to give an important national or international technology to the country.

Secretary of the council for stem cells science and technology development mentioned the article publication ranking of Iran in the world, expressing: many years ago, a trend was started in Iran to publish scientific articles, which led to improved ranking of Iran in the world over the years. However, in recent years, we concluded that articles cannot properly present the considerable achievements of people.

The second stem cells weekend startup event was started on July 9^th and will continue to July 11^th along with holding the second national festival and international congress of stem cells science and regenerating medicine. This entrepreneurial event will be held at Pardis technology park of Tehran in the presence of 78 participants.
