According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Amirkhani, the executive secretary of the third round of the national festival and international congress on stem cells and regenerative medicine, expressed about the extensive presence of target groups in the festival, expressing: the first and second festivals were greatly welcomed. Therefore, the third round will host a larger volume of participants, in a way that to date, more than 2000 individuals have registered for the event and it is predicted that more than 3000 individuals along with 1500 students will visit this event until November 28th 2018.
He also announced the presence of professors, researchers, students, managers of knowledge-based companies, managers and experts from relevant executive agencies, agents of economic activists, industry and capital companies, pharmaceutical companies and hospitals from across the country, a number of regional researchers and prominent foreign professors in the field of stem cells.
In addition, considering the high position of this technology in the world and its treatment importance and economic value, and since the science of stem cells is among the priorities of the third chapter of the document of comprehensive science roadmap of the country, certainly, the increase of material and spiritual investments and the implementation of educational, scientific and cultural programs in this field could lead to a more desirable position in the region and the world by the Islamic Republic of Iran on the horizon of 2020.
With the support of the council for stem cells sciences and technologies, the third national festival and international congress on stem cells and regenerative medicine will be held November 28th-December 1st, 2018 in the conference hall of Tehran.
According to this report, the third festival will encompass the following sections: international congress, specialized educational workshops, exhibition of knowledge-based companies, specialized technomart in the area of stem cells, thought and innovation association in the presence of top Iranians from foreign universities (six countries), the national prize of the bests, stem cells and regenerative medicine startup event, as well as university and school student sections.
The section of scientific meetings between lecturers and domestic professors will be in 12 major fields, including applied technologies for stem cell research, immune cell therapy, gene therapy and gene editing, organoids in disease modeling and development, pluripotency and reprogramming, biomaterials and devices, tissue engineering, cell banking, cell signaling and cell-derived vesicles, clinical trials and regenerative medicine interventions, commercialization of cell-based and regenerative products, and ethical, legal and social issues.
In addition, scientific lectures of the top domestic and foreign researchers will be among the scientific contents presented in the event in the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine. This large national and international event, along with presenting the latest scientific progress in the field of Iran, is a proper foundation for gathering and scientific and commercial experiences in the area of stem cells and regenerative medicine among the beneficiaries of this new science and technology and owners of newly developed industries in this field, laying the groundwork for support of scientists, idea owners, and activists of the field by capital owners and the state.
