Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells Technologies

Secretary of the council for stem cell sciences and technologies pointing out that the first-stage winners of the 24th Olympiad of the Student testing Organization can participate in the first student Olympiad of Stem Cell sciences and tissue engineering.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Amir Ali Hamidieh, Secretary of the council for stem cell sciences and technologies said: Stem cell sciences, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine is one of the priority areas based on the country"s comprehensive science map, which is also the responsibility of the council according to the Stem Cell Science and Technology Development Plan. In order to promote, develop the stem cell science and encourage top students to participate in this interdisciplinary and knowledge boundary, one of the important ways ahead is holding an Olympiad for students.

National organization of educational testing is holding the first student stem cell and tissue engineering Olympiad. According to the organization"s approvals, it was decided that all 24 students of the Student Olympiad, which includes a lots of fields, including biology, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, agriculture, etc., would be able to compete in the final stage, the second Stem Cell sciences and tissue engineering Olympiad.

The final stage of the first student Olympiad of stem cells and tissue engineering will be held along with other student Olympiads of the country in the academic year of 2017-2018.
