Dr. Hamidieh:
Irans progress in the field of stem cells is desirable
about three or four years ago, Iran ranked 31 in the world in the field of stem cells but at the end of 2016 has ranked first among Islamic countries, second in region and 20th in the world.
According to IRNA news agency, Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of the council for development of stem cell sciences and technologies, said: about three or four years ago, Iran ranked 31 in the world in the field of stem cells but at the end of 2016 has ranked first among Islamic countries, second in region and 20th in the world.
Researchers in Iran working hard in the field of stem cells and it is the moment when we must go to the ranks of the global top. This promotion should not only limited to publication and we should bring this knowledge into action. Stem cell science has advanced so much in the world that has a Nobel Prize so it is essential that we work in line with this science, Dr. Hamidieh said.
He mentioned that: Were having trouble turning knowledge into wealth and universities must enter to solve this problem. University boundaries is a bad things that happened over the years, but is getting better with the formation of the interaction between universities. Dr. Hamidieh Stating that expanding the field of stem cells, especially within last two years has an important role in creation of new job opportunities. Until today 16 hematopoietic stem cell transplantation centers and Two stem cell’s comprehensive center has been launched in the country.
The second national festival and international congress of stem cell and regenerative medicine, will be held at Iran international conference center on July 13th-15th, 2017.
