Dr. Sattari visits knowledge-based companies located in the Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Institute of Tehran University of Medical Sciences

 

According to the public relations of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, the Vice President for Science and Technology accompanied by a delegation visited the various departments of the University's Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Institute on November 24, 2020.

In this visit, Dr. Sorena Sattari visited the latest achievements and products of knowledge-based companies located in the Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Institute of Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

In this visit, Dr. Mohammad Ali Sahraeian, Vice Chancellor for Research and Secretary of the Stem Cells Headquarters, Dr. Hamidieh, accompanied him.

Dr. Sattari visited the collection of clean cells and gene therapy rooms of the center and companies based in laboratories and the latest status of companies' projects, the process of commercialization of knowledge-based products, technical files registered in the Food and Drug Administration and the amount of capital Asked companies attracted.

He also visited the site dedicated to the country's first specialized stem cell accelerator and reconstructive medicine, which will be established in the building of the university's comprehensive stem cell center, and called for speeding up this important project.

 

In this visit, Dr. Sahraian, while explaining the infrastructure provided in the university, a report on the activities of the comprehensive center, especially in attracting Iranians living abroad and training postdoctoral students of this center, university support in designing and constructing the largest collection of clean cells and genes. The country and the allocation of a significant portion of centralized and integrated laboratory spaces to the University's Comprehensive Center for Stem Cells and Reconstructive Medicine presented to the Vice President for Science and Technology.

 

During this visit, Dr. Hamidieh introduced the established companies, explained the product-oriented projects of the companies to Dr. Sattari, referred to the achievements so far and introduced the commercialized products of the established companies.

He also considered the technical files of companies registered in the Food and Drug Administration as a valuable achievement for the university and said that the process of activating the corridor from idea to market in the university in the form of accelerator is under construction.
