Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells Technologies

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Seyed Mahmoud (Masiha) Hashemi, secretary of innovation think thank of the council for development of stem cell sciences and technologies, stated: “innovation think tank association” of this council has been established with the aim of detecting and interacting with young researchers and professors in the field of stem cells, discovering the Iranian talents all over the world and interacting with non-resident Iranian professors and researchers.

He explained: there are a great number of Iranian professors and PhD candidates who are currently studying and working in valid universities around the world. In addition to identification of these individuals and interacting with them, it is aimed to use their knowledge and abilities in the country through exchanging skills, methods and service provision abilities by non-resident Iranian experts.  

Hashemi pointed out that more than 170 Iranian professors, students and researchers in the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine have been detected in the past two years.

According to Hashemi, holding meeting for non-resident Iranians with the authorities of vice-presidency for science and technology affairs is one of our programs in this regard.

In this meeting, introduction of cooperation organization with top non-resident Iranian students and experts, welcoming members to present lectures and hold workshops and introduce their abilities in order to transfer technology or scientific collaborations with domestic centers of Iran and holding scientific visits from research centers and active universities in the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine.

The second national festival and international congress of stem cells science and technology will be held July 13^th-15^th, 2017 by the council for development of stem cell sciences and technologies at Iran international conference center.
