According to the public relations and information center of the presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs, the last day of the third national festival and international congress on stem cells and regenerative medicine is a special day for research and technology. Some pavilions were held in the corner of the Iran International Conference Center in which this festival was getting held. These pavilions demonstrated the Iranian researchers’ and technologists’ progress and capability in idea commercialization and technological researches.
The big moment arrived. The red ribbon is cut by the first vice president and the presidency of vice presidency for science and technology affairs. The latest made-in-Iran achievements produced in the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine demonstrate Iran’s will for passing knowledge and technology borders.
In this ceremony, a product produced by higher-education technologists of university of Zanjan was introduced.
The Light-layer Laser Microscope provides the possibility of 3D nondestructive imaging of samples with dimensions from several microns to several centimeters with micron segregation.
3D rapid and long-term imaging of bio processes such as neuron communications, cell division and embryo growth without hurting the sample have been provided by this method which other common microscopic methods have not provided.
The 3D Bio Printer produced by Omid Afarinan Ayandeh knowledge-based company was another knowledge-based product presented in this festival.
These printers can print a wide range of bio materials and produce textures such as heart, cartilage and bone.
While virus or non-virus vectors are used to transfer gens in today’s cellular technology of the world and its efficiency is different depending on the target, the method of gene transfer in the device designed by Gene and Cell Fanavaran Atlas Rastak provides higher efficiency to the researcher. A system has designed in this device to enter biologic materials needed for the gene editing process such as protein or DNA into the cell.
In the following, Fanavaran Sepidjamegan, another present company, introduced a device for dermatology and skin rejuvenation. This device is useful in curing skin conditions, wounds, skin scars and burn.
Another product debuted in the margin of the closing of this festival was a device for classifying DNA samples and gene proliferation produced by Sina Cell knowledge-based company.
Celltech Pharmed, a knowledge-based company, demonstrated a Mesestrocell product which is a cellular product used in treating knee, pelvis and ankle Osteoarthritis.
Exocib, a product which enables the researchers to segregate exosomes in a short time is the latest product of Cib Bio Tech knowledge-based company. This product uses exosomes as a suitable substitute for cell-therapy stem cells and is applicable in treating many diseases including cancer.
Royan Bio Tech Project, another knowledge-based company, has produced and commercialized a new product for producing growth factors usable in cellular culture environment.
It should be noted that the third national festival and international congress on stem cells and regenerative medicine was started on November 24th by the council for stem cells sciences and technologies of the vice presidency for science affairs and was closed on December 1st,2018.
