The Number of Knowledge-Based Companies in the Field of Stem Cells Increases
According to council public relations and international affairs, Head of the technological companys working-group mentioned the importance of supporting technological proposals and stated, "By approving regulations by ministry of health and medical education and follow-up of the subject by council for development of stem cell sciences and technologies, we have observed increasing number in knowledge-based companies."
Dr. Mahin Nikougoftar also stated," we at council for development of stem cell sciences and technologies are trying to solve the obstacles in the way of knowledge-based companies working in stem cell field mostly because of time-consuming regulations by holding joint meetings"
Next she added, "The number of knowledge-based companies in the field of stem cells are increasing. Two new regulations have been approved in the past year. One is the law that gives permission for manufacturing of stem cell products. Clinical trial regulation is also approved by the ministry of health and medical education and will pave the road for increasing the number of knowledge-based companies.
Next she told about plans and products of research centers of all medical universities across the country. "There is significant increase in the number of products and plans. We are planning for operating educational workshops in the field of commercialization of ideas and market entry.", Nikougoftar said.
Faculty member of the Iran blood transfusion organization said,"familiarization of the society with stem cell concepts is an important subject for persuation of investors and donors. there is an increase to the number of plans and productions of research centers acrosss the country, therefore we are planning to operate workshops and educational courses for their flawless entry to the market."
