Hamidieh in Brainstorming Meeting for Activists of Stem Cells Field;

Bilateral Cooperation Will Create the Foundations for Development of Stem Cells.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, in the brainstorming meeting of thoughts and innovation association (non-resident Iranians), which was attended by Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of the council for stem cells science and technologies, Seyed Mahmoud Masiha Hashemi, manager of the association, and Kaveh Baghaei, one of the members of the association, non-resident Iranian scientists presented their achievements and solutions for cooperation and association between universities and research centers of the country.

 

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, in the brainstorming meeting of thoughts and innovation association (non-resident Iranians), which was attended by Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of the council for stem cells science and technologies, Seyed Mahmoud Masiha Hashemi, manager of the association, and Kaveh Baghaei, one of the members of the association, non-resident Iranian scientists presented their achievements and solutions for cooperation and association between universities and research centers of the country.

Following that, presidents, deputies, and representative of universities from around the country talked about the facilities and capacities of Iranian universities for attracting and recruiting these scientists. After that, both parties evaluated the problems and methods for exchange of knowledge of non-resident Iranians.  

At the end, educational manager of University of Rasht, deputy of the city council of Karaj, head of research center of University of Tehran and representative of Shahid Beheshti University announced their preparedness for more cooperation with non-resident Iranians and facilitation of scientific collaborations and activities.

The brainstorming meeting of stem cells and regenerative medicine was held in the presence of more than 30 scientists, physicians and activists of this field, who came from Canada, America, Australia, France, England and Netherland. In this meeting, the infrastructures for cooperation and exchange were assessed and participants introduced their activities, achievements and cooperation capacities.

Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of the council for stem cells science and technologies expressed: the main goal of the council  is adding value to the field and increasing the survival rate of patients with the use of this technology. The main  reason for gathering of scientists and physicians from around the country is to emphasis on the current joint foundations in this field.

According to Hamidieh, serious transformations must be observed in the perspective of research presentation. He continued: Iran has been able to obtain an acceptable status in the field of stem cells with the help of scientists and activists of the field. In addition, this cooperation can be beneficial for the country and activists of this field.

The faculty member of university emphasized the attention to stem cell market, asserting: the stem cell market is new and has a hidden potential, which can be used with regard to the first steps taken in this field, as well as accurate policymaking and investing. This can create the foundations for obtaining the share of market by Iran with the value of 20 billion dollars.

The second national festival and international congress of stem cells and regenerative medicine was held (July 13th-15th, 2017) at Iran international conference center with the support of the council stem cells science and technologies.
